Kiwanis Club of Vacaville is excited to welcome Shauna Manina, recently named California Woman of the Year by Assemblymember Lori Wilson, as our guest speaker.
Topic: "Connect, Communicate, Collaborate"
Shauna's name is woven into the fabric of Vacaville. She helped form the Downtown Vacaville Business Association, organized Merriment on Main for 26 years, served on the Fiesta Days board for 24 years, helped launch what became the Vacaville Boys & Girls Club, and started Vacaville Kid Fest, the Creekwalk Concert Series, and Baskets of Hope. After 18 years with the Vacaville Reporter and five years leading the Dixon Chamber of Commerce, she is now focusing her energy back on the community she loves.
Shauna will share her latest project, "Backpack to School," providing free backpacks and school supplies to Vacaville School District children, while showcasing local arts organizations that serve our youth.
